SUPREME COURT RULES THAT EMPLOYEES HAVE PRIVACY RIGHTS IN WORKPLACE COMPUTERS
The Globe and Mail reported on the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision in R. v. Cole, released today. The Court ruled that individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy in workplace computers and police cannot search these computers without a warrant.
