ALG's Samara Secter is quoted in the Globe and Mail on the Supreme Court of Canada's March 14 ruling in John Howard Society of Saskatchewan v. Saskatchewan (Attorney General).
In John Howard, a six-judge majority of the SCC struck down a regulation in Saskatchewan’s correctional legislation. Samara represented the intervenor the Queen’s Prison Law Clinic. The Court confirmed that “a prison is not a Charter-free zone.”
