ALG's Lynda Morgan and Samara Secter to Speak at Spring 2024 Events

ALG's Lynda Morgan is a speaker at three upcoming events in spring 2024. 

On March 26-27 Lynda will be a program co-chair and speaker at Osgoode Professional Development's 17th Annual Intensive Course on Drafting and Reviewing Search Warrants. ALG's Samara Secter is a faculty member for the program. The program focuses on developing skills for drafting search warrant materials and litigating their validity in court. Lynda will present on foundational principles of search and seizure law and Samara will participate in a panel discussion regarding practical issues in the warrant process. In addition to Lynda and Samara the program's faculty includes judges from the Ontario Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Appeal, counsel from the provincial and federal prosecution services, defence lawyers, and law enforcement.

On April 20 Lynda will be a presenter at the Law Society of Ontario's Six-Minute Criminal Lawyer continuing professional development program. The Six-Minute Criminal Lawyer program is an annual review covering the latest developments in criminal and constitutional law. Lynda is presenting on constitutional remedies for abuse of process under section 24(1) of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. 

Finally, on May 7 Lynda will present at the 15th Annual Law of Policing Conference presented by the Canadian Institute. Lynda and counsel from the Ontario Securities Commission will present on digital evidence collection, storage, and management.
