CONDO COMMON AREAS OFF LIMITS TO POLICE SNOOPING, TOP COURT RULES

This week the Ontario Court of Appeal held that condo residents have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the “common areas” of their buildings, such as stairways, hallways and storage locker rooms. Andrew Seymour discusses the import of the decision in the Ottawa Citizen. The Court’s ruling is available here.
